St. Kenelm’s (from Rosy Nixon)
In 2023, a no-mow policy was implemented at the churchyard in St. Kenelm’s, allowing the area to flourish naturally. As a result, there has been a remarkable increase in plant diversity and butterfly sightings. To enhance visitors’ experience, winding paths have been mown through the churchyard, inviting exploration of the natural beauty. A new noticeboard in the church porch provides information on the various plants and butterflies observed. Meanwhile, the new cemetery across the road will continue to be mown monthly to ensure access for visitors. The church looks forward to seeing even more biodiversity this year and encourages everyone to visit and experience the great outdoor spaces in the village!
