 NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER 

PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND 

DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 

The Oxfordshire County Council, 

Enstone Footpath No. 18 (part), 

Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2023 

On 27th March 2023, the Oxfordshire County Council confirmed the above Order under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by: – 

diverting Enstone FP18 running from OS Grid Ref SP 3762 2492 generally west-south-westwards for 43m to SP 3758 2491 to a new line running from OS Grid Ref SP 3762 4292 generally west-north-westwards for 34m to SP 3759 2492, south-westwards for 2m to SP 37595 24929, southwards for 6m to SP 37594 24922, and south-westwards for 12m to SP 3758 2491, as shown on the Order map.

The Order came into force on the date of confirmation but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (the Act), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA) or on the ground that any requirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act and as applied by s53A(7) WCA, within six weeks from 6th April 2023 make an application to the High Court.
